Once upon a time there was a little girl who loved ballet. When she was little, she danced and twirled everywhere. As she grew older, she read books and watched it on the TV, but had a chance to see it in person. What she really wanted, was to see the Nutcracker in person. She wanted to sit in the dark theatre and watch the Sugar Plum Fairy in all her beauty and watch Claira, as The Nutcracker turned into a real prince.
Every year, the little girl would ask for the same present “May I please go see the Nutcracker this year?” Every year she was given the same answer. “Sorry sweetie, not this time.” For years the little girl was saddened. Then one day her fairy grandmother gave her a package and told her to open it.

The little girl couldn’t believe it! Inside the card were two tickets to The Nutcracker. In the box, was the most beautiful dress that the little girl had ever seen. She was so overjoyed that she cried and laughed and then cried some more.
The little girl got dressed in the most beautiful dress that she had ever seen. Put on sparkly tights and her best pair of shoes. She felt very much like a princess.

Then, the little girl took her mother’s hand and they went to the theatre. She watched the Toy Maker give Claira the Nutcracker and then watched as she fell into her magical dream. She smelled the smells of the theatre and listened to the music that the orchestra played. She watched as the snowflakes dance and then as Claira found her prince. But what she loved best of all, was the Sugar Plum Fairy. She was so beautiful in sparkles and sequins. She was so elegant and graceful. It was everything that the little girl had imagined and more.
That night the little girl went home happy. She dreamt her own magical dreams. Dreams that were laced with fairies, flowers and snowflakes. And the little girl lived happily ever after.
