We started out with our usual Tuesday morning summer activity, a movie at the local theatre. Who can ask for more? It’s $1 and I get at least a 15 minute nap somewhere in that time period. On top of that, all the kids are making noise which means I don’t have to worry about my kids making noise. Seriously, I thought I had died and gone to mom movie heaven.
Later on we went to the pool (another daily task) but we were rained out. Funny, swimming isn’t so fun when it’s stormy and gusty. Although there was a great discussion about why electricity and water are a bad mix when a person is involved. we had some great responses from The Superhero.
Instead of becoming cooked geese we came home. The Mouth worked on learning how to knit. No, I don’t know how to knit by hand.
I have had about ten people try to inspire me and yet every time I try, I look like a drunk trying to use ASL. Sheri + Knitting are not = to happiness. Instead, I cheated and taught her how to use a knit around. Really it’s a great tool. She has had hours of fun and has decided that a new goal will be to make hospital hats for newborn babies with a humanitarian aid project. The Mouth also spent a good dose of the time snapping pics, making cat calls, and making me promise to post them.
I swear my hair looks more and more like Albert Einstein every day.
The Superhero decided to put together a wooden model race car. It’s been a great project for him by helping his fine motor skills. We sanded, painted for two hours.
He informed me that “there was a #2 on the car because the guy who drove the #1 car broke his leg and was out of the race”. It is also adorned with flames on the side and the word “pro” as well to show that he is a pro driver and not just a novice weenie. I guess next we need to work on time because The Superhero had no clue about the time needed for paint to dry. He wanted to slap it all together wet paint and all.
